Hey there!

I'm Adrián

Design for public purpose - making sense of complexity to support work that is coherent, ethical and human.

About me

Spaniard based in Cardiff (Cymru), I work across service, content, and systems design in the public sector. My focus is on understanding complex problems, improving organisational clarity and shaping the conditions that support thoughtful, user‑centred delivery.

What I'm interested in

Work that strengthens the future of public services - clearer decision‑making, more coherent systems, and design embedded as a normal part of how government thinks and acts.

I’m particularly interested in:

  • making sense of ambiguity in complex environments

  • improving the foundations that enable good delivery

  • building fairer, more resilient systems

Philosophy

Clarity, inclusion and thoughtful design shape how I work.

My work centres on creating the alignment, culture and ways of working that allow good design to take root - not sit on the surface. My experience spans discovery through to live service improvement.

Deep listening, systems awareness and pattern recognition shape how I understand what sits beneath the surface. The ability to zoom in and out - from hands‑on delivery to long‑term direction - helps me frame problems and support better decisions.

A background in philosophy, education and arts/culture management brings a reflective, connected way of understanding how people and organisations behave.

Writing + weeknotes

My writing explores language, user-centred design, and the systems that shape us.
